Ben Somers

Ben Somers received his doctorate from KU Leuven. As an electrical engineer, he worked with an interdisciplinary team of audiologists and neuroscientists to make hearing implants smarter and more personalized.
 

From there, CORGEE, a spin-off in the making at KU Leuven, grew out of the brain and hearing scientific research of the ExpORL research group. CORGEE's ambition is to improve hearing diagnosis for individuals whose hearing is challenging to map with current methods. Thus, accurate, personalized and comfortable hearing care can be provided to everyone.

Ben is fascinated by the integration of people and technology, and enjoys communicating his future vision to the general public.
