Youssef Kobo is in the inspiration business. He’s Founding Director of A Seat At The Table, a mentoring program for disadvantaged youth and a leadership program for young professionals. It organizes monthly meetings between young people and top politicians and business representatives. The aim is to show young people how ambitious they can be, and what opportunities are open to them.
Kobo is a former advisor to the Secretary of Digitalization and Equal Opportunities. He is a core member of the think tank Friday Group and the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers. As a social entrepreneur he has launched several non-profits in Europe, the Middle East and Africa working with vulnerable groups like refugees, migrants, disadvantaged youth and women. Kobo has also authored a book in which he argues for no longer making a distinction between natives and immigrants in Belgium, but for viewing people with a migrant background simply as Belgians.
A regular speaker at events, he frequently talks about international relations, entrepreneurship and innovation. And of course, as he’s in the inspiration business, his talks are always inspiring. Come to and& and see for yourself.
