Wouter Van de Putte

Wouter Van de Putte is Investment Manager at Capricorn Partners, a Leuven-based pan-European asset manager of venture and equity funds. Within Capricorn he is active in the cleantech venture funds which focus on sustainable chemistry and materials.
Prior to joining Capricorn, Wouter had a corporate experience in the environmental remediation industry as well as the biotechnology sector where he held roles in product engineering & project management. He started his career as a chemical engineer in the environmental sector where he developed an innovative method to reduce the uncertainties inherent in characterizing soil contamination. After successfully launching and commercializing this technology, he gained further experience at an agri-biotech company, where he was responsible for the multi-year strategy of a new technology platform.
Wouter graduated as a Bioscience engineer (KULeuven, Belgium) and further obtained an MBA at Flanders Business School (KULeuven, Belgium).
