Paul Van Dun
General Manager of KU Leuven R&D
Paul is the General Manager of KU Leuven Research & Development (LRD), the knowledge and technology transfer service of KU Leuven. He coordinates the activities related to collaborations with companies, patents/licenses, the creation of spin-off companies, and regional development. He also serves as the delegated manager of the Gemma Frisius investment fund, a board member of the Fondation Fournier-Majoie pour l'Innovation, a board member of Quest for Growth (Euronext Brussels), a board member of RZ Tienen, the chairman of the Centre for Drug Design and Discovery, a member of the board of directors of Brightlands Chemelot Campus (Nl), an advisor to various investment companies, and a board member or chairman of various high tech and life science companies.
From 2006 to 2010, he was elected as Vice-President of ASTP (Association of European Science & Technology Transfer Professionals, The Hague). Before joining LRD, he worked at KPMG and an investment company.
