Buvana Lefevre, PhD, is a techie turned entrepreneur. Buvana thrives from translating technological advances and knowledge to real world applications.
Buvana is the founder of Alari Technologies---a SaaS business for increasing solar energy production--- with VLAIO ISS grant in Oct 2021. At present she is engaged in business development and setting up living labs with the support of ‘The Green Village’ of TU Delft, Start-it@KBC and Flux50.
Prior to starting her entrepreneur journey, Buvana was an R&D Engineer at Sirris, Belgium for intelligent systems, where she managed and executed projects in bridging the gap between technology and market employing machine learning and photonics.
Previously, Buvana was involved in developing optical network technology as Project Associate at IIT Madras, India.
Buvana graduated with a doctorate in Electrical Engineering from KULeuven in the field of Solar Energy. Prior to this, with Eramus Mundus scholarship, Buvana earned her Master of Science degree in Photonics from KTH, Sweden and VUB, Belgium and her Bachelor of Engineering degree from University of Madras in India.
