There is no better place to discuss the new Multiannual Financial Framework proposal than inside an autonomous car, driving through the streets of Leuven, while broadcasting and taking questions via Facebook LIVE!
The event will take place on 2 May as the kick-off of our summit&festival, when the European Commission adopts its proposal for the next seven-year budget and shortly before the adoption of a new strategy on automated mobility.
Inside the autonomous car, European Commission Vice President Maroš Šefčovič together with Vehicle Department Director at the Vedecom Institute Gilles Le Calvez will answer questions on the upcoming European strategy on automated mobility, key technologies and infrastructure or our vision for triple-zero future of zero accidents, zero emissions and zero congestion. The way in which the EU Budget for 2021-2027 reflects the future of mobility will also be discussed.
This Belgian premiere underlines the objective of Leuven & Europe: more sustainable mobility in a smart city. From 17:00-18:00, city councillor Mohamed Ridouani & council member of Finance & Spatial Planning Carl Devlies will take a ride in the car together with some citizens of Leuven.
16:00-18:00 | Grote Markt | Bondgenotenlaan | Vital Decosterstraat | Ladeuzeplein
