Benjamin Denef
Benjamin Denef is an engineering architect who graduated in 2000 from KU Leuven. In 2009 he co-founded DMOA architects, an award-winning Leuven architectural firm with a specific preference for sustainable entrepreneurship, craft and innovation.
DMOA is also an experienced think tank that dares to pull partners out of their comfort zone. This produces surprising results that often exceed expectations. Their own office building KRUUL is regarded as an outstanding example of spatial efficiency. The building represents their specific approach and how you can turn a seemingly lost residual parcel of ground into a worthwhile project.
Denef has a specific affinity with social entrepreneurship. He has gained extensive international experience in setting up and building humanitarian school projects in Iraq, Kenya, and Cameroon. He also likes taking a leading role in various innovation consortia to really do and deliver something exceptional.
