Braeckman is also the co-founder of Tiamat Sciences, a biotech company developing plant-based proteins. As an ambassador for the GUILD, she promotes female entrepreneurship as a key to tackling more diverse problems through entrepreneurship.
Braeckman is a connector and community builder par excellence, with extensive experience in strategy and startup acceleration. As a mentor at SXSW, Slush Tokyo, General Assembly and startup programs across the globe, she has guided many startups on their first steps abroad. She built out Watt Factory, a smart city hub in Ghent, Belgium, with an in-house acceleration program and helped grow the Belgian and European startup ecosystem as the COO of Startups.be.
Braeckman serves on the board of different non-profits and is the curator of TEDxGhent and the Techstars Startup Digest Reading List on Impact Entrepreneurship. She is currently a resident at Newspeak House in London, studying to become a fellow of the London College of Political Technologists.
