4. Track Tracy by Lampekap & Villanella

Grote Markt

Track Tracy is a powerful installation that focuses on privacy, the temptation of star status and the gray zone between a penalty camp & Hollywood. An ever present theme during the current state of social media, increased camera surveillance, …

The installation consists out of two spotlights that appear above a square. 'Random' passers-by are literally placed in the spotlight and they are abandoned again. The two light beams search back and forth. Using artificial intelligence, Tracy puts certain people in the spotlight.

Passers-by are consciously part of a choreography and thus become part of the installation. Do they feel watched or do they enjoy being in the spotlight? Track Tracy confronts them!
