maakleerplek is an open place in Leuven where we learn to make together, in search of answers to the challenges of today and tomorrow.
In February 2021, maakleerplek will open in the Mills of Orshoven and the silos on the Vaartkom. This is an open workshop space where schools, companies, (creative) organisations and people from Leuven can meet, share space and materials, make things and learn from each other. Everyone who wants to make and learn is welcome at maakleerplek. Due to the open character of maakleerplek we enable cooperation between different organisations and sectors. In maakleerplek, making and learning, theory and practice, classroom and studio come together. You can think up projects in the canteen and carry them out in the open studio. You can: follow and organise STEaM workshops, design prototypes together with other companies, and rent space for activities, for example, art workshops.
