Born in Kortrijk, Belgium, Lynn Coorevits gained two Master’s degrees from Ghent University. One was in Industrial Psychology where she looked at materialism and unethical consumer behavior. The second was in Marketing Analysis, focusing on analytical customer relationship management and customer intelligence.
She then started working in the field of innovation consultancy and market research, moving to the imec research centre in 2013. Here she worked within the 'Living Labs' group as a user researcher. Soon she became an expert in testing digital innovations.
Currently, Coorevits is Innovation Manager at imec, responsible for the development of new services and processes for imec.livinglabs. This involves playing an active role in shifting the business strategy, exploring and delivering new technologies, and assessing potential opportunities for imec.livinglabs.
One of her roles is product owner of new, internally developed tools and products for user research. This involves following up on market trends, defining end user needs and product requirements, resolving timing issues, testing deliverables, ... She also supports and coaches the individual researchers and interdisciplinary teams to identify and apply the most suitable testing strategy to reach optimal results for the innovation process of imec’s clients.
