How can we make a positive impact on our society and contribute to a better and more sustainable world? One way is through investing in promising companies with technological advantages in areas such as sustainable chemistry, cleantech, health-tech, digital technologies and artificial intelligence. This is precisely the mission of Capricorn Partners, which invests in such innovative companies through its private venture capital funds.
The company was founded and is chaired by Jos Peeters, who is regarded as one of the pioneers of the European venture capital industry, being active in this area since 1985. He is also a founder and chairman of EASDAQ, which operates Equiduct, a regulated market for secondary trading in Europe.
For seven years Peeters was managing director of BeneVent Management, a venture capital company associated with the Kredietbank-Almanij group. Before that he worked at the international technology consultancy group PA Technology and at Bell Telephone Manufacturing Company, now part of Nokia Bell Labs. He is a past chairman of Invest Europe, the European association for private equity, venture capital and infrastructure (previously EVCA). Peeters has a PhD in Physics from the University of Leuven, is honorary fellow of the Hogenheuvelcollege and past chairman of Science@Leuven, both at KU Leuven.
At and& you have a unique opportunity to tap into Peeters’ vast experience in investing in innovative companies with technology as a competitive advantage.
