There are “objectives” and then there are “OBJECTIVES!” Firmly in the latter category is “Saving The Planet.” Or more specifically: tackling global challenges and meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals. However you phrase it, it’s the focus of Benjamin Tincq’s work.
Tincq is co-founder and CEO of Good Tech Lab, a research firm exploring the frontiers of technology and system entrepreneurship to address humanity’s biggest challenges – reversing climate change while ensuring people and nature thrive.
Tincq and his team have mapped the biggest opportunities and challenges in the emergent Impact Tech sector. It involved interviewing 450 innovators and investors from 30 countries on five continents. Their final report is "The Frontiers of Impact Tech: An overview of moonshots worth taking in the 21st century." It features a global panorama of 180+ innovation areas and 500+ projects that can help advance the UN’s 17 SDGs by 2030.
Tincq holds an MSc in ICT Engineering and Computer Science from Télécom SudParis, and is co-author of two books on open innovation. He co-founded Ouishare, a think-tank dedicated to innovation, and organized POC21, a 5-week hardware innovation camp for climate solutions.
At and&, make it one of your objectives to listen to Tincq address some of the world’s most pressing issues.
